Warning: Got a client from a business meetup, now the dynamic is odd

I signed up for a local entrepreneur group to grow my moving company. Last week, a member hired me for a large job out of the blue. I'm glad for the business, but I feel strange seeing them at events now. Should I bring up the job or just act normal? This win is nice, but it has me confused.

they saw your business in its pajamas" is such a good way to put it. I always thought mixing friends and money was fine, but a job like that really does change the vibe. Just act normal, but you're right, you can't unsee the china.

Ah, the classic mix-up where your networking pal becomes a client... now you both know too much about each other's stuff. Just act normal, but every meetup will have that weird vibe, like they saw your business in its pajamas. Maybe joke about it once to break the ice. Otherwise, you'll be talking about traffic while remembering how they packed their china. Congrats on the job, but yeah, it's awkward...

Does that pajamas feeling ever fade?
