Showerthought: didn't realize 90% of my network was in the same room
I was at a local entrepreneur meetup in Austin last Tuesday and counted 12 people I already knew from online groups. Turns out I've been trading advice with the same 3 circles for a year without ever branching out. Found a stat from the SBA that says 65% of small business owners rarely connect outside their industry peers. Has anyone else noticed their network is way smaller than they thought once you map it out?

I once drove 45 minutes to a meetup only to find my neighbor was in the same group.

Isn't it funny how we'll drive across town for something new when the exact same thing is happening right next door, almost like the universe wants us to realize how small our world really is? It's weird how we always assume the interesting stuff is far away, even when it's literally just a few houses down.
