Hit 5000 active users in our network app last month... small number or big deal?

Oh man that's a solid start! For me the real turning point was when I hit around 3k and started focusing on getting people to invite their friends through a simple share button. I also added a little streak system where if you log in 5 days in a row you get a badge or something. That small thing actually doubled our weekly active users in like two months. Just keep pushing the social features and you'll see it grow faster than you think lol.
