Paid $85 for a full season box set, then the show got canceled before the finale aired

I shelled out for the complete series of that space cop drama on DVD last March, and two weeks later they announced no season two, so now I'm stuck with 13 episodes that end on a cliffhanger and a case that never gets solved, anyone else ever drop serious cash on a show that died early and regret it?

Gotta ask, is this really that big of a deal? You paid 85 bucks for a show you clearly liked enough to buy the whole set. That's like two movie tickets and a popcorn these days. Yeah the cliffhanger stinks, but you got 13 solid hours of entertainment out of it. Plus, you can always hit up Reddit or fan forums to see how people think it would've ended, that's free. Seems like more of a mild bummer than a real regret, honestly.
