Overheard a customer say 'just glue it' about a 400 dollar board

I was at a counter in Tulsa fixing a power supply and this guy behind me tells his buddy the fix for a bad HDMI port is super glue. I almost laughed out loud, then realized he was serious, so I just showed him the solder mask and asked if he'd ever tried the hot air method instead. Has anyone else had a customer suggest something that wild?

Super glue on a 400 dollar board, wow. I saw a video recently where a guy tried that on a laptop port and it just made a crusty mess that shorted everything out. Hot air is the only way to go for that kind of work, you gotta have the right tools. Hopefully that customer listened instead of ruining his gear.
