Figured out why new LEDs buzz in old houses
Had a client with buzzing lights after an upgrade. Found the dimmer wasn't compatible and swapped it for a proper one.

Buzzing lights after an LED upgrade is a classic problem. It's usually the dimmer struggling with the new load. Good catch on swapping it out.

Not always the dimmer, wiring can cause that buzz too.

Had the same buzz in my kitchen. Replaced the old dimmer with a Lutron CL model rated for LEDs and it went silent. The electrician said the old one was sending a bad signal to the drivers.
