That time a laser level showed me my ceiling was 3/4 inch off

Picked up a cheap green laser last week on a job in Tacoma and ran it across some bedroom ceilings before hanging. One room looked fine by eye but the laser showed the high side was a solid 3/4 inch out of whack. Fixed it with furring strips and shims before putting up any board, saved me from a mess of shims later. Now I run the laser on every ceiling before I start, takes maybe 10 minutes and catches stuff I used to miss. Anyone else using a laser for ceiling flatness checks or are y'all still eyeballing it?
