Fancy finishes are cool, but do they actually help us get paid?

Last spring in Oakwood, a client paid extra for a textured feature wall. That kind of work shows you're not just another contractor. People will pay more for something that looks custom and high-end. It can lead to more jobs from word of mouth too. So in my book, that skill gets you paid!

Oh yeah, my friend Mark in Cedarville did a wild textured wall last year. He used this fancy plaster technique in a client's living room. That one job got him four referrals because the photos spread on their neighborhood page. He still says it was the easiest way to boost his rates.
