Showerthought: that convo with the supply house guy about mesh tape
Was grabbing mud at ABC Supply in Denver and the old timer behind the counter said he's seen more callbacks from guys using paper tape on inside corners than anything else. He's been at that desk 22 years. Has anyone else noticed paper tape giving you grief on tight corners?

22 years at the same desk is a scary long time to be staring at drywall problems (and I bet he's got stories). I switched to mesh tape after I messed up an inside corner so bad that the homeowner's cat walked by and the air pressure from its tail popped the tape loose. It was a Tuesday. Now I just use mesh for everything and my callbacks dropped by like 90% or at least that's what I tell myself when I'm cleaning my tools late at night.
