Rushing mud coats always shows. Never worth the saved hours.

Used to cut every corner I could to save time. Then I had to redo a whole project that looked terrible because I rushed the finish. That extra day of work turned into a wasted week fixing my mistakes. Now I just do it right the first time, even if it's boring. The finish is what everyone sees, so it's the worst place to get sloppy. That post sums it up perfectly.

Man, this hits way too close to home. I once rushed painting a fence and just slapped it on over the dirt and dust. Looked fine for about a week, then it all started peeling off in big sheets. Took me three full weekends to scrape and redo the whole thing. Never skimp on the prep work either.
