Am I the only one who hangs the lid before the walls when the ceiling is low?
Was hanging a basement in Akron on Tuesday and the homeowner kept asking why I do lids first on anything under 8 feet. Told him it saves me from fighting butt joints up high where my arms give out after 40 sheets. He watched me do the whole front room without a single crack at the seam and stopped asking. Now I do lids first on short ceilings every time, even if the older guys on my crew give me grief about it. Anyone else flip the order for low rooms or am I just set in my ways?
