Pro tip: check your layer names before you plot, lost 40 minutes to a single hyphen
Spent almost an hour last Thursday trying to figure out why half my dimension text vanished from a plot set, turns out one layer name had a dash where a sheet file expected an underscore. What naming rules does your office use so this does not keep happening?
The dash vs underscore thing is a killer because they look almost the same at a glance in a layer list. So when you say the sheet file expected an underscore, was that something hardcoded into a template or a script on your end? I'm asking because we had a similar mess where our plot setup was pulling from an old CAD standard that nobody had touched in years. Curious how deep the fix had to go on your side.
