I thought the whole 'check your tire pressure when it gets cold' thing was just a car shop scam.

Honestly, I drove my truck for years and never bothered. Then last Tuesday morning in Denver, my low pressure light came on and the steering felt weird. I checked with a gauge and all four tires were down by about 8 psi from the summer. Filled them up and the ride was smoother right away. Has anyone else ignored this and had it bite them?
