Keeping paint brushes hanging changed my cleanup
Honestly, I always left them sitting in water and the bristles went flat. Now I hook them over a line to dry, and they stay in good shape. What do you do with brushes right after painting?

Hanging them is better than water for sure, but I always wash mine right away with brush soap. Letting any paint dry in the ferrule is the real killer. After a good clean, I lay them flat on a towel to dry completely. Keeping the shape is one thing, but getting all the paint out is what truly saves a brush.

Totally see this with other tools too. People will baby their fancy kitchen knives but let a cheap can opener get all rusty and gross. It's the same idea, focusing on the big, flashy problem while the slow, quiet ruin happens somewhere else. The thing you ignore because it still kinda works is always the thing that fails completely at the worst time.

My buddy's had the same crusty angled brush for five years, lmao. Can't be that big a deal if it still works.
