I finally fixed my phone's battery by tightening app permissions

My phone battery was dropping too fast, so I looked into it. I found out that lots of apps were using my location even when I wasn't active. I went through each app and turned off permissions they didn't really need. Now my battery lasts longer, but I'm worried about what data was shared before. How do you all deal with app permissions on your devices? What steps do you take to keep your info safe? I'd really appreciate any advice!

Review past app data sharing?

After my phone died three times, I realized apps were tracking me to my own fridge. mark_smith59's idea to review past data sounds good, but I'm afraid of what I'll find.

Yeah, being afraid of what you'll find is so real... I went through my Google account's activity page and found maps tracking my walks to the corner store every single day. I turned off location history and a bunch of app permissions right there. It was creepy, but at least my battery stopped dying.
