Overheard a guy at a co-working space in Chiang Mai say 'WiFi speed doesn't matter if you're just emailing'
He was bragging about his $15 plan and I watched his Zoom call drop five times in ten minutes, so how do you all actually test internet before you sign a lease somewhere?

What kind of work is he doing where "just emailing" involves Zoom calls though? In my experience, you gotta test things yourself because landlords will tell you whatever they think you wanna hear. I always bring my laptop to a showing and run a speed test on Ookla, then actually hop on a quick video call with someone to see if it holds up. Your mileage may vary but I've had places show great speed test numbers but totally choke under real use. A $15 plan might work fine for someone who's just sending text files, but that's not most people anymore. Take this with a grain of salt but I'd rather pay a little more upfront than deal with dropped calls all month.
