My power bank died in a Bangkok airport and I learned a lesson

I was waiting out a 9 hour layover at Suvarnabhumi and my phone hit 15%, so I pulled out the 20,000mAh bank I'd been using for two years. The thing just blinked red and shut off, it had never even given me a warning before. Does anyone check their battery bank's actual health before they're stranded somewhere, or am I the only one who trusts it until it dies?

Mine did the same thing in a Dublin hostel once, only it was my backup for my backup and I ended up charging my phone off a lobby lamp for two hours... the lamp had a USB port if you can believe it. Never really looked at the health stuff on mine either, just assumed it'd keep going forever.
