Finally found my sweet spot in Medellin after 3 weeks of hunting

I've been bouncing around Medellin for almost a month now, trying different neighborhoods and coworking spots, and I think I finally cracked it. Ended up in the Laureles area, which is way more lowkey than El Poblado but still has solid cafes with fast wifi. Found this little spot called Cafe Velvet that has a garden patio and the owner doesn't care if you camp out for 5 hours with one coffee. The real game changer was adjusting my schedule to start at 6am instead of 9, because the mornings are quiet and I get my deep work done before the city even wakes up. Afternoon I usually wander over to the track at Universidad de Antioquia to work out or just people watch. Has anyone else found that ditching the fancy coworking spaces actually helped them focus better?

So basically you’re paying for coffee by the hour now.
