Picked an in house person over a $3,500 a month outside agency for our paid social, and I was the one who pushed hardest for the agency
Six months ago in Boise we had to pick between hiring an agency at $3,500 a month or giving our $52k a year marketing hire the paid social accounts. I fought for the agency because I figured a team of specialists beats one person learning on the job, but she ended up getting us a lower cost per lead by week five just from actually talking to our sales guys every morning. Has anyone else gone in house and had it work out, or did you end up hiring the agency later anyway?

We went in house about two years ago and never looked back. The agency was fine but they never talked to our sales team, so the leads were junk half the time. Our in house guy sitting in on sales calls changed everything.
