Spent 4 hours trying to fix a color shift on my monitor
I was working on a piece for a client in Austin and kept noticing my blues looked way off after export. Turns out my monitor was in some gaming mode that boosted saturation by like 30%. Grabbed a SpyderX calibrator from a friend and fixed it in 15 minutes. Anyone else run into hidden display settings that kill color accuracy?

Is it really that serious though? I mean yeah colors being off is annoying but unless you're doing high end print work idk if most people would even notice. Calibrators are cool and all but honestly my eyes adjusted after like a week of using my monitor however it came out of the box. Maybe it's just me but I feel like this whole color accuracy thing gets blown out of proportion for normal everyday use.

Yeah you say "my eyes adjusted" and that's true for a lot of folks, but here's the thing nobody talks about - if you ever share photos or videos online, other people might be seeing them different than you intended, and that can mess with how they react to your work. I've seen people argue over colors in a meme because their screens were set differently.
