Clipped my pen strokes too fast in Procreate and now my whole workflow feels off

I always thought speed was key. But yesterday I rushed a character commission and the line art came out jagged and stiff. Had to redo 3 layers because I wasn't letting the brush settle. Learned that slowing down on the initial sketch actually saves me more time than trying to clean up sloppy strokes later. Anyone else find that their tablet pressure curve messes with their speed controls?

Wait, wait wait. You had to redo THREE layers because of pressure curve settings? That is genuinely wild to me. I've been drawing digitally for like 6 years and I always assumed the pressure curve was just a fancy gimmick for people with super steady hands. Never messed with it once. Maybe I should actually try adjusting it before my next commission because I've definitely had that issue where the line looks fine on the tablet but comes out all wobbly on screen. Sounds like you figured out something that could save me a ton of headache.
