Pro tip: hit the injector harness from underneath on that gen. Way easier than fighting it from the top. Gives you a straight shot at the clips.

...and I was about ready to pull my hair out after hour three. That 4 hour mark sounds about right for fighting it from the top. @king.aaron is spot on about going under. You gotta drop the skid plate and the starter brace but it saves you so much back and forth. The clips are way easier to feel for and pop loose when you got a clear view from below. Once you do it that way one time you'll never go back to the top. I keep a stubby flathead in my truck box just for those injector harness clips now.
