Can we talk about the actual weight of a gallon of DEF?
I was reading a service bulletin from Detroit Diesel and found out a full gallon of DEF weighs 9.1 pounds, which is heavier than I thought and explains why some of those bulk tanks on rigs sag over time.

That Detroit Diesel bulletin is using the weight for a US gallon. A full imperial gallon is actually closer to 11 pounds.

I remember mixing up gallons once and adding way too much oil to my old truck. That extra pound per gallon @joseph_murray8 mentioned would have made a real mess. My garage floor still has the stain to prove it. I guess that's why they put those bulletins out, for guys like me who can't keep it straight. Makes you double check the manual every single time now.

Wait wait wait, 11 pounds per gallon?! I had no idea the imperial gallon was that much heavier, that's wild! No wonder those old engines seem so picky about what you put in them, a mistake with that stuff would be way more catastrophic in the long run.
