Talked to an old timer at Eastern Market who changed how I see dumpster rentals

Guy who's been running a demolition crew since the 80s told me he never rents a dumpster bigger than what he thinks he needs. Said his granddad taught him that overfilling just teaches you to waste time and truck space. Has anyone else noticed the smaller dumpsters actually save money on haul fees in the long run?

Oh you've met one of the old heads too? That's exactly what my uncle used to tell me on our job sites, smaller bins forced us to be smarter about what we tossed and saved us a ton on disposal fees.

Dude yes! That's exactly what I'm talking about. People don't realize how much money they burn through just because their dumpster is way too big. Having a smaller container really does force you to stop and think before you toss stuff you could actually recycle or donate instead.
