Warning: I tried the 'freeze your coffee beans' trick for a full month and my morning cup got worse, not better.

After reading it would keep them fresh, I froze a bag of Counter Culture beans from Durham and brewed a pot each week, but by the third week the flavor was flat and muted, so has anyone found a better way to store an open bag for longer than a week?

Seriously, it's just coffee. Airtight container in a dark cupboard works fine for a few weeks, no need to overcomplicate it.

But what if it's not just coffee to some people? Maybe they want it to taste its best every time. Seems like a simple thing to care about.
