Remember when everyone said you had to water your lawn every single morning?

I grew up in Tucson and my dad swore by his 6 AM sprinkler routine for years. Now I see my new neighbors doing the same thing, even though the city's water department has said for a decade that deep watering just twice a week is actually better for the grass and uses way less water. It's a small choice, but it adds up on the bill and for the local supply. Anyone else notice old habits like this that just won't die?

Honestly, I bet half the people doing it just like the quiet morning ritual. The actual lawn is almost secondary.

Ever notice how the smell of cut grass feels like peace?

My old apartment complex in Phoenix had a sign saying daily watering wasted 10,000 gallons a month. I thought it was just about saving money. Then I read how it actually makes grass roots lazy and weak. Now I water my little patch deeply twice a week and it's way greener than before.
