Hot take: the checkout lady at Food Lion told me my reusable bags were slowing down her whole lane
I was bagging my own stuff at the Food Lion on Berryville Rd on Tuesday when the cashier looked at my 6 canvas bags and told me they slow down her whole line compared to plastic. I stood there holding a bag of apples and felt like a jerk for trying to do a good thing. So do you guys bring your own bags and just eat the dirty looks, or is it honestly better to take the plastic and not hold everyone up?
