Appreciation post: My password system was a total mess until I saw a friend's spreadsheet

I used to have the same password for everything, just with a number at the end. My email, my bank, my streaming, all of it. Then about three months ago, my friend was showing me his budget and I saw a tab labeled 'Passwords' with a bunch of random codes. He explained he uses a password manager now. I got one that same night and it's a game changer. I have over 50 unique passwords stored, and it even tells me which ones are weak or reused. It feels so much safer knowing my main email isn't the key to my whole life. Has anyone else made the switch and found a feature they really love?

I read an article last year that said the average person has over 100 online accounts now. That's what finally pushed me to get a password manager. The auto-fill feature is my favorite part... I don't even have to remember which email I used for a site anymore. It just pops up and logs me in. It felt like a hassle to set everything up at first, but now I can't imagine going back to my old system of sticky notes and memory.

What happens if the password manager itself gets hacked?
