That call with the electric company operator changed my whole view on phone trees
I was trying to fix a billing error from 3 months ago and this lady just listened to me ramble for 10 minutes without pushing a script. She actually found the overcharge was $47 and got it refunded right there. Has anyone else had a customer service agent who made you rethink how you treat the people on the other end?

Man, I read somewhere that phone operators actually appreciate when we just slow down and talk like humans instead of getting all worked up. Sounds like you found one of the good ones, she probably deals with so much garbage that a normal conversation was refreshing for her too.
