My router fried and the tech support saga that followed

My internet went out last night, so I called the provider. The first agent hung up on me after ten minutes. The second one said they could not send anyone for five days. Now I am stuck with no web access during work hours.

Saw your post about the router frying and the tech support saga! I used to believe calling for help would get things fixed fast. Your story of getting hung up on and waiting five days really changed my mind. It shows how some companies fail when customers have real problems. I always thought they tried harder, but this proves otherwise. Now I see why everyone gets so frustrated with bad service.

Our ISP fields over 10,000 support calls a day. Most get a fix within 24 hours. That one bad story went viral but it's the exception, not the rule. Their systems get overloaded and sometimes a ticket falls through. Try calling early on a weekday instead of Friday night.
