Wasn't sold on load cells, now I run them on every job

I fought using load cells for years, thought they were just extra gear to baby and calibrate. Then last month on a site in St. Louis we had a 14 ton pick that felt light in the seat, and the cell showed we were actually 600 pounds over the lift chart. That number saved us from a bad swing into a live utility line. Has anyone else had an older operator talk you out of tech that ended up being the safer call?

Hell, they're just another thing to fail when you need it most.
