Spent $150 on a new headset for the cab and it's a total game changer
My old one was a cheap pair that came with my phone, and I was always asking for repeats on the radio. Got a proper noise canceling one after a buddy recommended it. The difference on a windy day up there is night and day, I can hear every word clear as a bell now. Anyone have a good brand for a backup set that can take some rough handling?

Oh man, I know exactly what you mean. I finally upgraded my car's junk speakers last year after putting it off forever. It was like I'd been listening to the radio through a tin can. That first drive with the new system, I could actually hear the bass line in songs I've heard a hundred times. Totally worth every penny.

It's funny how we put up with bad gear for so long, like @kim_hart7 with those old speakers. You don't realize how much mental energy you waste straining to hear until you finally upgrade. Good tools just make everything smoother.

Same thing happened to me with my monitor... I didn't realize how much eye strain I had until I switched to one that didn't flicker. Now I can't believe I put up with that headache for years.
