My take on razor cuts for fine hair gets me odd looks every time

I think razors make fine hair way better than scissors, but almost every stylist I meet says it's a bad idea. I've done it for years with great results, lol. How do you all handle when your go-to method isn't popular?

Oh man, I get this completely. You find what works for you and then the pros act like you're crazy. My method is to just keep doing it, but be super clear when I book an appointment. I literally say over the phone, "I only want a stylist who is comfortable using a razor on fine hair." If they seem unsure, I book somewhere else. It saves the in-chair argument. You've seen the results yourself, so their theory doesn't mean much.

Remember that stylists often avoid razors on fine hair for a reason. It can easily cause damage and split ends if not done right. Their worry might be about keeping your hair healthy, not just being difficult.

Watched my friend go through this at a salon. She insisted on a razor cut for her fine hair. The stylist shook her head, said it was a bad idea. My friend pulled out her phone, showed old photos. Her hair looked thick and full, no damage visible. Now she only books with stylists who know her method works.
