A client's mom cornered me last Saturday about why I charge $80 for balayage
She said her daughter's friend does it for $40 in her kitchen and I had to explain color theory, sectioning, and insurance without getting defensive, so how do you politely educate someone without sounding like a snob?

Right so you basically have to say the $40 girl isn't paying rent or taxes and hope they get it.
