The day I caught myself dipping my fries in mayo without flinching
For 30 years I was a ketchup purist, especially for waffle fries. Last Tuesday at a diner in Cleveland, a friend offered me her leftover chipotle mayo and I dunked one without thinking. Something clicked, the tang plus the salt just worked better than ketchup ever did on waffle fries. Now I'm trying to figure out if I've been missing this my whole life or if it's just that specific sauce. Has anyone else had a condiment switch that late in the game?

That chipotle mayo is basically a gateway sauce, next thing you know you're eyeing the aioli at fancy burger spots.
