Went back to a job site I framed 3 years ago and couldn't believe the difference
I helped build a storage shed in Austin back in 2021 using just a nail gun and a chalk line. Yesterday I drove by and the new owner had retrofitted the whole thing with self-leveling laser layout tools and a digital joist scanner. Made my old work look like a caveman did it, has anyone else seen old projects get a full tech upgrade like that?

Hit the nail on the head, man. Walked by a deck I built in 2019 and the new owners had slapped on these smart sensors that tell you when it's rotting. Made my old pressure treated lumber look like a popsicle stick fort. It's wild how fast tech makes your solid work feel ancient.
