Switched to a laser level for my basement framing in Cleveland and stopped losing my mind over crooked lines
I spent 3 hours adjusting a bubble level on joists before a buddy handed me his Bosch GLL 30 and I got the whole room squared in 20 minutes; has anyone else found a digital tool that made their old method feel like a total waste of time?

That bit about "stopped losing my mind" really hits home because I remember fighting with a bubble level for an entire weekend on my own basement. I picked up a DeWalt laser cross liner after that and it saved me so much rework on joists and stud layout. Just make sure you set it on a stable tripod though, even a tiny bump can throw your whole line off.

Did you find the laser cross liner held its calibration over time, @cameron_chen? I've heard some people say the cheaper ones drift after a few months of regular use.
