Showerthought: Most dive schools push the wrong decompression tables

Worked a salvage job off Port Fourchon in 2019. Every guy fresh out of school ran the Navy tables like clockwork. Saw way more fatigue and missed stops versus the old hands who ran DCIEM tables. Am I the only one who thinks the Navy tables are overrated for working depth ranges?

Yeah the Navy tables feel like they were written by someone who never actually hung a bottle on a wreck.

Gotta push back a little here @the_robin, the Navy tables have been proven out over decades of actual wreck diving and they're conservative for a reason. They might not be sexy but they keep people alive.
