PSA: Stop wet-sanding your own hatches if you bill by the hour

Overheard a newer diver bragging about spending 3 hours wet-sanding a single hatch on a job in Galveston. Dude, that's a $600 charge for the client and you made $75 of it. Has anyone else seen greenhorns burn time on stuff that should take 45 minutes tops?

That 3 hours on one hatch, was he using 60 grit or just going real slow?

Wait, @lane.angela, you ever try wet sanding with a finer grit like 400 or 600 on a detail like that? It takes longer but you don't have to go back and fix scratches. I did a similar badge on a buddy's Chevelle and it took me just as long because I kept stepping down grits to get it right.

I mean, @lane.angela, is it really that deep or just a guy taking his time?
