We had a concrete pour go sideways on a Tuesday in July because of a last-minute spec change.
The architect's office sent a revised detail at 7 AM, calling for a different fiber mix in the slab for a warehouse in Boise, and the truck was already on site. We had to send it back, delay the crew for four hours, and eat the cost. Has anyone else had a project get stalled by a same-day drawing update?

Ugh, brutal! That's the worst kind of surprise. Same-day changes are a total nightmare.

Ever notice how this happens everywhere now? Like when you order food and they change the menu right after you pay. Feels like nobody plans ahead anymore, they just expect everyone else to deal with the last-minute chaos.

Yeah but I see it the other way around sometimes. Places have to change things fast because stuff runs out or a delivery doesn't show up. Mason_craig34, it's a pain for sure, but I've worked in a cafe and you'd be shocked how often the supplier just doesn't bring the bread. It's not always bad planning, it's just stuff breaking down. Customers get mad but the staff is usually just trying to make it work with what they have.
