After Our Last Club Meeting, I'm Split on How We Do Food
As the guy who often hosts our comic book fan club, I'm always torn on food! On one hand, having everyone bring a dish makes it feel like a real community event, with weird and wonderful snacks inspired by our favorite heroes. But on the other hand, ordering a bunch of pizzas is so much easier and faster, letting us focus on debating whether Batman could beat Superman. Last time, we did a potluck, and my friend's 'Hulk smash' guacamole was a hit, but another member forgot their contribution, leaving us short. When we order in, no one has to cook, but it gets expensive, and someone always complains about the toppings. I've managed painting crews for years, and I know that good food keeps people happy and engaged, whether on a job site or at a fan meet. So, what do you all think? Should we stick with homemade dishes or go for the convenience of delivery?

It's funny how this choice pops up everywhere, not just in fan clubs. Even at work potlucks, the shared dishes build team spirit, but someone always forgets their part. Your club could change plans based on how busy people are each time.

My street tried a monthly cleanup where everyone picked a section, but only 3 of 10 houses ever brought their rake. It's the same broken promise feeling, whether it's extra pasta salad or pulling weeds. The spirit is willing but the calendar is weak.
