I just saw my home's monthly energy bill drop under $80 for the first time
Switching to a heat pump last fall and adding insulation did it, and now I'm looking at solar panels. Has anyone gotten quotes in the Raleigh area recently?

My neighbor in Cary used NC Solar Now and got a solid price, around $2.80 a watt before incentives. They were pretty quick with the quote too.

That $2.80 a watt price in Cary does sound good. Honestly though, I'd be worried about what they cut to get there.
