Ditched my gas car for an e-bike commute, but my neighbor thinks I'm losing my mind
I used to drive 14 miles round trip to work in Austin every day, burning about 10 bucks a week in gas, but now I pedal an electric bike in 40 minutes flat and save that cash, though my neighbor says the battery charging still uses coal power so what's the point, so which side actually wins when you factor in everything from tire wear to power plant emissions?
