Finally fixed my old teddy bear after 25 years
Ngl I kept my childhood teddy bear from 1998 shoved in a box because his arm was ripped and one eye was missing. Last month I finally sat down with a needle and thread and patched him up. Took about 3 hours because I had to match the old fabric color best I could. Honestly he looks a bit rough but it feels good to have him on my shelf now. Anyone else fix up old toys from when they were a kid?

Did the same thing with my old teddy from the 90s too, @robinson.leo. His stitching was all coming apart so I just grabbed some thread and watched a youtube tutorial to figure out the ladder stitch. He's sitting on my nightstand now looking a bit wonky but I don't care.

I used a really ugly lime green thread on my bear's leg because it was all I had lying around from an old sewing kit. He's got this bright green patch on his right leg that doesn't match at all, but honestly it kind of makes me laugh every time I see it. My wife says it looks like he got into an accident at a craft store or something. I just figured he's been through enough, he doesn't need to be perfect.
