That time a cashier told me to slow down with my coupons
I used to be that person fumbling through a stack of coupons at the register while everyone behind me sighed. About 6 months ago at the Kroger on Elm Street, a cashier named Diane just looked at me and said "honey, you're making this hard on yourself." She showed me how she sorts her own coupons by category before she even leaves the house. I started doing that and it cut my checkout time from like 8 minutes down to maybe 3. Now I don't feel that panic when the line moves faster than I can find the right coupon. Has anyone else had a random cashier give you advice that actually stuck with you?

Diane sounds like a real gem. Did you end up changing anything else about how you shop based on what she said, or was it just the sorting tip that stuck? Seems like that kind of practical advice is rare these days when everyone's rushing.

Man, it's wild how rare that kind of patience is anymore. Diane really sounds like she made a lasting impression, which is hard to do when everyone's just trying to get through their list. Glad that one tip stuck with you, honestly.

mason_flores21 wait, let me get this straight. You're telling me a cashier actually took the time to help you sort coupons instead of just scanning them and moving on? I gotta say I'm a little shocked. In my experience cashiers either look at you like you're crazy or they're so burnt out they don't even make eye contact. Diane must be some kind of unicorn or something because that's not the norm at any store I've been to lately. Most of the time they just want me to hurry up so they can get to the next customer. That story is honestly refreshing to hear but man it makes me wonder how many other people out there could use a little guidance like that.
