Switched from a manual stretcher to a power stretcher about a year ago on a big job in Phoenix.
I used to fight with a knee kicker for hours on big rooms, especially with that thick 80 oz. commercial stuff. Now I use a Roberts 10-500 power stretcher and it's a total game changer, my back thanks me every day. Anyone else made that switch and have tips on keeping the adjustment pins from sticking in dry heat?

Yeah, the dry heat is no joke. My buddy out in Tucson had his adjustment pins on a similar model seize up solid last summer. He said it was like they were welded in place. He ended up having to soak them in penetrating oil overnight just to get the stretcher head off the poles. Now he keeps a little bottle of silicone spray in his truck and hits the threads every Monday morning like clockwork.

Nah, I gotta disagree. My tools hold up fine out here. It's all about the prep. Keep those pins clean, a little dry lube before you start. The heat just means you gotta wipe them down more often. My old kicker warped way worse than any power stretcher parts ever have.
