Just figured out I've been cutting my carpet pad wrong for, like, eight years (the tape gave it away)

Eight years of wrong side up is a new record for carpet pad confusion.

Oh man, I did the same thing with the tape side! I kept putting the pad down with the plastic film facing up, so the tape wouldn't stick to the carpet. Total mess. Now I make sure the rough side is up and the film is on the floor. It sticks perfectly every time. What a simple fix after years of fighting with it!

Right? @gonzalez.vera it's wild how that little plastic film tricks you. I spent a whole weekend redoing my office floor because the pad kept sliding around. My knees were killing me from peeling it up over and over. Finally flipped it rough-side up and it was like magic, no more bunching up under the desk. Such a dumb thing to miss for so long lol.
