Pro tip: I stopped trusting my tape measure for final cuts after a bad trim job in a 1920s house.

I used to measure once and cut, but the old floors were so uneven it threw everything off. Now I always cut a template from scrap first, then transfer that line. Anyone else work on a house where nothing was square?

My route has some wild angles, but the foundation guys usually get it pretty close.
