Spent a whole Tuesday on a 'simple' diagnostic that turned into a 4-hour puzzle

It was a weird misfire on a 2018 Civic that only happened when it was warm. I chased it for hours, checking the usual stuff, before I found a tiny crack in a vacuum line behind the intake. Anyone else get stuck on a problem that should have been quick?

Tell me about it. Had a similar thing with my old truck where the AC would only quit on humid days. Took forever to find a corroded ground wire tucked up under the dash.

Honestly sounds like a lot of fuss for a little wire, @oliver_anderson. Tbh most electrical gremlins are just annoying, not a real safety thing. Ngl I'd probably just live with a weird AC quirk.

Oh man, that's a classic. I read a forum post once where a guy had the same gremlin in his Jeep. The AC would cut out every time it rained, and it turned out to be a cracked wire loom letting moisture drip right onto the blower motor resistor. Took him months to spot it.
