Found a stat about job hopping that made me rethink my plan
I was reading a report from a hiring firm called Robert Half. They said 64% of workers are thinking about changing jobs in the next six months. That's a huge number. I always heard job hopping was bad, but if that many people are doing it, maybe the rules have changed. It makes me wonder if staying put for years is still the safe move. Has anyone else seen data that changed how they view career moves?

Yeah that stat about 64% of workers is wild. I used to stress about looking like a job hopper too. But I switched jobs twice in three years and my salary went up 40%. The old rules seem broken now. Staying put just meant smaller raises for me while new hires got the big offers.

Honestly @riverm48 you're spot on, the old rules are totally broken. Tbh I used to worry about the same thing but then I realized companies don't reward loyalty anymore. Ngl the best raises come from leaving, it's just how the game works now. You have to look out for yourself because no one else will.
